No, our blankets and tapestries are not printed. They are intricately woven on Jacquard looms using high-quality yarn, creating a textured and durable design that showcases the artistry of traditional weaving.
Yes! All of our woven blankets are pre washed and dried (therefore pre-shrunk) so you should be good to launder them as normal! We find that the blankets get softer with every wash!
For a woven blanket, we transform your photo into a design created from a fixed palette of yarn colors, not printed ink. This process results in slightly lower saturation and a unique, textured appearance that celebrates the artistry of weaving.

The back of your blanket will feature an inverse of the colors from the front. This is a natural characteristic of the weaving process and is not overly distracting, adding to the charm and authenticity of the woven design.
We use 100% cotton, so you'll notice the difference in your blanket the first time you use it, and you'll enjoy that quality for years to come. Maintaining your Photo Weavers blankets is effortless: they are machine washable and pre-washed to prevent shrinking. Simply toss them in the dryer after washing, and they’ll look as good as new every time.
